Today we drove to NOAA’s Florida
Keys Marine National Sanctuary facility to examine and photograph the
Adelaide Baker wreck artifacts, a ship similar and contemporary to
the Slobodna. We were welcomed with an overview of the
sanctuary’s mission by Brenda Altmeier.

We spent the day photographing
69 artifacts, 39 of which will be used to create images for an online
exhibit. Some artifacts like the anchor presented challenges to the
photography team. This required the artifact to be carefully rotated by
six team members to complete the 3D image of the anchor.

Spectacle Clews and Craig
Lunch time gave us a chance for
introductions and conversations while enjoying turkey sandwiches and
building the foundations of a good team.
