Sheli O. Smith
Columbus, Ohio

Dr. Sheli O. Smith
a maritime archaeologist by training
and loves working to understand the maritime history of her home state
of California. She is particularly interested in the maritime trade
networks that evolved across the Pacific as a result of the Pacific Gold
Rushes in the nineteenth century. She enjoys working with the California
State Parks to better understand and protect the state's maritime
heritage through archaeological investigation and the creation of
maritime parks.
John Foster
Fair Oaks, California

John Foster, who describes himself as a "geezer diver," is a Senior
Archaeologist with the California Department of Parks and Recreation. He
wants to
see this shipwreck identified and perhaps recovered, conserved and
displayed to tell the maritime history of the California Gold-Rush.
Anne Corscadden
Belfast, Ireland

Anne Corscadden holds a BSc (Honors) in
Archaeology Paleoecology from Queen's
University, Belfast, and an MSc in Maritime Archaeology and Coastal Zone
Management from the University of Ulster,
Coleraine. She holds certifications as a qualified commercial- and
surface-supplied diver in addition to her SCUBA certifications. In the
U.S., she has worked on shipwreck projects with both East Carolina
University and Indiana University.
Madeline Eustis
San Fransisco, California

Maddy Eustis is currently the Sailing Director for the San Fransisco
Maritime National Parks Association.
MJ Harris
Bolinas, California

MJ Harris likes diving and the color purple. She is also a PAST veteran,
having been part of the crew on PAST's first major field project, the
2001
Marshall Hotel/Firehole River Project in Yellowstone National Park.
Frederick Hanselmann
Bloomington, Indiana

Fritz
Hanselmann holds a master's degree from the Indiana University School of
Public and Environmental Affairs with a focus on submerged cultural
resource management and international development, a bachelor's degree
in anthropology from Brigham Young University, and is a PhD student in
the Department of Anthropology. He is currently working on projects in
the Dominican Republic and California, with a research focuses on the
shipwrecks and submerged sites of the contact period as well as the
archaeology of piracy. He is also a certified PADI Assistant Instructor.
