Team 1: Cherrelle, Scott and Kamara

Today we went snorkeling like all the other days, accept this time we saw a nurse shark!  We saw not one, but six of these sharks.  Cherrelle had a good day today, but she’s a little dehydrated. When she dove into the water .a nurse shark swam into the water right under her.  Kamara also had a good day today.  She was very happy to finally see a shark up close in the water.  Although she was very scared.  Scott had a good day too.  He was kind of bored though.  We saw a Jelly Fish today too it was purple and clear.  I think we are kind of getting tired of the salt water though.  We went to go feed the Tarpon fish because the Marine Mammal Conservancy was not opened.  It was so cool.  So today was pretty darn good!

P.S. Scott saw a thorn like fish in the water down by the docks.  He said it puked this other fish.  He doesn’t know what the fish was called though.

Team 2: Taylor, Ronny and Oliver

Today we visited 3 sites; first we went to the City Of Washington, Tonawanda and a cool reef.  The thing of most interest to us (Taylor) “City of Washington” (Ronny (Seeing the Nurse Sharks (Oliver) Same as Ronny.  It was interesting finding a big trumpet fish that was a meter long and we saw huge Angel Fish.  Also in our compound we discovered lots of new things like a Key Lime Tree, blue land crab, lizards, coconuts, eater crabs, hermit crabs and parrots.  The compound is the best! We regards to the Tonawanda we found that the in coming college students will be diving the Tonawanda and we conducted the preliminary survey.  Sea Ya!

Team 3: Cassie, Nick K. and Nick R.

Weather Conditions: Hot and Humid, Few Clouds

Visibility: 1st 20ft, 2nd 5ft, 3rd 15ft.

Water Conditions: 1st and 2nd choppy, 3rd calm

Today we went to 3 different dive sites the first two were shipwrecks and in deeper water, the third was a shallow reef.  At the shallow reef we saw three barracudas.  Two of them had black spots along their back.  Our captain Mike took weights down and with the sharks.  Our afternoon activity was cancelled so we went to a rental dock that sold fish food for tarpon.  Some of the tarpon were up to 6 ft long.  Oliver lay along the edge of the dock and fed the fish, one almost got his hand.

Team 4: Deidra, Tymar and Fralisia

Today we went to three snorkel areas.  The City of Washington, some wheel boat thingy and the agar.  The first was this huge barge boat being towed and had coral and fish.  There we also saw four nurse sharks.  One even danced/showed off for us.  Then Captain Mike went down and chilled with them for a while.  When we went to the second shipwreck we only moved like fifty feet away. Finally we went to the Cigar reef.  We saw some Christmas tree worms, trumpet fish and thousands of silver minnows.  Then this afternoon we were supposed to go to the Marine Mammal Conservancy but they were closed so we went to feed some tarpon.  Which are huge fish. Finally we came home.
