Forensic Anthropology Field
School
Dates: Monday, 16 June through Thursday, 3
July 2008. Class runs all day from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday
through Friday.
Location: Ohio State University

Cost: US$750 lab fee per person plus OSU tuition
for 5 college Anthropology level credits or OSU Continuing Education
credits. Participants are responsible for their own transportation.
Lodging and food can be arranged for international or visiting students.
Description: This intense, three-week course
introduces students to the many facets of different crime scene
investigations. Students get the opportunity to hear experts in
seventeen disciplines discuss and explain their area of expertise.
Numerous engaging activities are planned including:
Students process cars, excavate a clandestine burial
and match the remains to missing person files. A common thread running
through the course is the nexus of anthropology and the use of the
information in the legal system. The evidence student’s compile will be
presented in a moot court.

College Credit:

Students not currently registered at OSU must include a $50
non-refundable application fee and international students must
demonstrate English language proficiency through TOEFL or MELAB
scores

your application has been processed you will be given instructions
on registering for the course and the OSU course call number to
complete your field school registration.

15, 2008. Reading and Gear Lists will be sent to all participants.
