Pills, Potions, and Poisons summer
field study provides students with an overview of the field of
pharmacology and its relationship to health, disease, and society.
Students will investigate questions such as:
-
How do drugs work?
-
What is the
difference between “good drugs” that cure disease and “bad drugs”
that produce addiction?
-
How do drugs treat
pain or cure cancer?
-
Why do only some
drugs work in the brain?
-
How do we discover
new drugs?
During the two-week day
