  Don Johnson
University of Nebraska, Lincoln

Dr. Don Johnson, Professor Emeritus at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln's Metallurgy Program, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has worked with the National Park Service on the USS Arizona project since 1998.  With a background in metallurgical and chemical engineering, Dr. Johnson brings a wide-ranging expertise to the project including corrosion processes and interactions, concretion formation and its effect on corrosion, and metallurgical analysis of steel structures.  He currently lives with his wife, Dorothy, in Sun City West, Arizona.
