National Park Service Report
In 1989, the Submerged Cultural Resources
Unit (now the Submerged Resources Center) of the National Park Service
published a landmark report on USS Arizona and the Pearl Harbor
National Historic Landmark. The report, edited by project leader Dan
Lenihan, encompasses the technological, historical and cultural
significance of both USS Arizona and the experience of the attack
on Pearl Harbor. This report may be accessed as a web-based document,
transcribed by volunteer R. D. Payne of the USS Arizona Memorial,
or downloaded as a 34.3MB PDF file.
