Fifth Day: Diggin' the Privy
Friday, July 15

Today Wayne Lusardi and Andy Weir continued with measuring and mapping the main and boat houses, while Don Weir, Stephen Riordan and I worked on the privy. We took photos of it, then Stephen and I took turns measuring it while Don drew it. In the middle of it I left Don and Stephen to complete the documentation while I went with Dr. Sheli O. Smith to take circular shots of the island to give the views of the site -- a picture of the whole area that we are working on.  After that it was around noon time so we all took a break for lunch and we just hung out and took in the breezes --  we don't get those too often. After lunch I continued working with Don on the privy and we dug it up to see if there was anything underneath. It ended up being a bust and we found nothing. That kind of put a dent in our day, but overall it was a good day and we got a lot of work done.

Lunch time was one of our favorite times of the day. It’s a time were we all can just relax, take in the breezes (when we get one, which isn't often), and have a good time talking. Everyone usually just packs a sandwich or two, brings some drinks and a little extra snack to munch on. This is a time where we can all talk about anything. Mostly we talk about what went on during the morning and if we found anything. This was also a good time for us to crack jokes and just have a good time.
