Digital Model of the Original Middle Island Station

Andy Hall of the PAST Foundation recently completed a computer model of the Middle Island Life Saving Station. The PAST model is based on plans for the Muskegon, Michigan Station, provided by Wick York, and photographs of stations built to a similar pattern reproduced in William D. Peterson's United States Life-Saving Service in Michigan and Frederick Stonehouse's Wreck Ashore: U.S. Life-Saving Service, Legendary Heroes of the Great Lakes. Many details of the model are speculative, but the overall appearance of the station is believed to be generally accurate. Andy Hall can be reached at andy@pastfoundation.org, and would appreciate any additional information that would improve the accuracy of the model.
