Proprietorship
All the text, images, marks, logomarks and
other content of the PAST Foundation website belongs to the PAST
Foundation [PAST] or is used with the owner’s permission or applicable
regulations. Individuals are welcome to view, download and print PAST
site content subject to the following condition: downloading and
printing is solely for personal and/or non-commercial use as defined in
the U.S. copyright laws.
Certain interactions with the PAST site
are prohibited:

All images displayed in the PAST Foundation are
either the property of The PAST Foundation and bear a registered
Digimarc® or appear by express permission of the owner.
Forum(s)
Forums
may be provided on the PAST website for general discussion and for
specific topic discussions as a medium of exchange of ideas and
information. Submissions to the forum(s) are monitored for language and
pertinence to forum questions. PAST does not edit nor control accuracy
of information or material submitted and distributed through the forum(s).
PAST claims no proprietary rights of any kind regarding forum content
and distribution of materials and information through the forum(s).
All individuals who
post information and material on PAST forum(s) are responsible for
information and materials posted. Issues of copyright and/or permission
to post information and material of a third person or party are the
responsibility of the individual posting on the forum(s). PAST requires
individuals to obtain all necessary permissions before posting or
distribution on the forum(s).
Bulletin Board
The PAST Foundation may provide a bulletin
board on which to post events, conferences, seminars, workshops and
festivals pertaining to archaeological or related issues. PAST monitors
submissions for language and pertinence to the categories of the
bulletin board. PAST does not edit nor control accuracy of the
information posted on the bulletin board. PAST claims no proprietary
rights of any kind for information distributed through the bulletin
board.
Individuals who post events, conferences,
seminars, workshops and festivals pertaining to maritime issues are
responsible for accuracy of information and completeness of information
submitted for posting. Obtaining permission to post the event from the
hosting organization is the responsibility of the individual submitting
the bulletin board information and material.
Privacy Statement
The PAST Foundation respects the privacy of every
individual visiting the PAST website. Information about you may be
collected when you visit the PAST website either by automatic tracking
or more directly when you request a specific service.
PAST tracks how people use the website in
terms of general statistics about visitors, traffic patterns, and
related information in an anonymous form. To do this, PAST uses
software integrated into the website that collects statistics from IP
data. For example, the software records what time of day a visitor
accesses the website, which country the visitor is from, how long the
visitor stays at the website, and what type of browser the visitor is
using.
This information is used to primarily to
measure the popularity of various sectors of the website, allowing the
curatorial staff to tailor future content.

Links to third party web sites appear in the
various sections of the PAST website. The presence of a link to a third
party web site is not intended as an endorsement by PAST. PAST is not
responsible for the availability of other web sites or the content of
any linked web site. The intention of the link is solely for
information and convenience and does not imply affiliation to PAST.

Limitation of Liability
The PAST Foundation makes every effort to
carefully edit and maintain the PAST website, however, the site content
is provided ‘AS IS’ and PAST expressly disclaims any and all warranties
of merchantability of fitness of a particular use.

institutions are welcome to initiate a link to The PAST Foundation web
