Have you ever wondered how a bird and an airplane can both fly? In Birds, Airplanes and Flight students will get the chance to observe birds on the KIPP: Columbus campus. Students will be observing biomimicry in flight systems that modern technology utilizes based on birds. Observations made by Leonardo DaVinci and his first design for the helicopter and airplane wing will be referenced and modeled as well as modeling systems based on Leonardo’s work.
Transportation will be provided from PAST Innovation Lab to KIPP: Columbus via SHARE.
8:15am – Drop off at PAST
8:30am – Depart to KIPP: Columbus
4:00pm – Depart from KIPP: Columbus
4:30pm – Arrival at PAST
4:30pm – 5:00pm – Pick up at PAST
This one week program runs from 9am-4:30pm on June 24th-28th and is open to rising 6th-8th Graders, ages 11-14. Please note: Lunch will not be provided so please plan on packing lunch each day.
You will receive an email a week prior to the start of the program with information regarding location, paperwork, drop off and pick up time, along with the culminating program presentation information.
