Today started the Forensics in the Classroom (FITC) camp at Reynoldsburg, OH (HS)2 Academy. Incoming 9th graders were faced with a crime scene and have a week to complete their investigation, discover evidence, create a mock crime scene and present evidence of a crime. Look closer…do you see our victim? Don’t worry, he won’t bite! We’ll share more about FITC as students work through their discovery process.
While lots of fun, FITC is about helping students use critical thinking skills to solve a real problem – in this case, a crime. Teachers and students at (HS)2 will be immersed in forensic science as another way to engage students in modern learning opportunities.
Welcome to high school, kids!
