Maker EcosySTEM:
Building Creative
Learning Communities
Inviting ALL educators to reimagine what’s possible — not alone, but together — by leading change at the classroom, school, and community level.
Through a dynamic blend of maker education, collaborative teaming, and ecosystems thinking, you will build the skills, mindsets, and networks needed to transform your learning environment into a thriving creative community.

What You Can Expect
You’ll explore creative tools and materials to spark student-centered learning and build a collaborative classroom culture through hands-on projects. You’ll learn practical ways to assess student growth using real work and prototypes, and experiment with new teaching routines that place making at the heart of your lessons.
Finally, you’ll lead a practicum project that brings real-world making to your school or community.

Program Structure
Module 1: Laying the Foundation - Why Make?
Transform your classroom into a dynamic makerspace by creating a hands-on teaching aid that inspires curiosity and creativity. You'll leave with a custom classroom tool and lesson plan that integrate real-world problem solving, cross-curricular learning, and the maker mindset.
Module 2: Designing for Evidence - Make Learning Visible
Harness digital fabrication to design collaborative, sustainability-focused projects that empower every student to become a maker. You'll gain hands-on experience with advanced tools, build a portfolio of real-world learning, and join the Fab Network, where innovation and collaboration drive future-ready education.
Module 3: Building Team Culture - Learning Together
Explore hands-on electronics and coding—no experience needed—by building interactive teaching tools with real-world digital fabrication. From circuits to basic robotics, you’ll gain the skills to transform learning through creativity, collaboration, and 21st-century making.
Module 4: Practicum - Leading the EcosySTEM Shift
Complete your maker journey by building a classroom-ready innovation that highlights your skills in digital fabrication, electronics, and problem-solving.
