We invite parents and students to explore the opportunities offered by the Early IT Microschool, Powered by PAST on March 28, 2024, at 10 AM at the PAST Foundation. The Early IT Microschool is an innovative partnership that challenges the status quo for college access and affordability while significantly increasing the quantity, quality, and diversity of IT talent.
Educators, join a group of like-minded STEMthusiasts at 3:30 PM on the first and third Thursdays of each month. Whether you're an experienced teacher, a novice, or just curious, these informative sessions can be helpful in your classroom! We'll start with a short presentation, followed by an interactive discussion that allows you to problem-solve, brainstorm, and adapt these ideas to your own situation.
PAST Foundation Receives Learning Innovation Fund Grant
The Learning Innovation Fund, an initiative of Getting Smart Collective, selected the PAST Foundation to pilot a microschool model in partnership with the University of Cincinnati School of Information Technology. The Early IT Microschool powered by PAST Foundation is one of only 10 awardees. A Big Push for Small Schools, a grant program of the Learning Innovation Fund, is aimed at catalyzing innovation and growth in microschool models.
Meet Cassie Davis, our Research Assistant and “Fact Forager.” Before joining PAST, she acquired archaeology field work experience in the Midwest and Poland which, oddly enough, brought her to us! One of the first assignments that each staff member tackles when joining PAST is deciding on their personal meta title. "I chose Fact Forager because I felt that it blended the fun/creative side with the analytical side of my work as I "forage for facts".
