About this Program
Join us at The Lawn at CAS for a thrilling adventure that will transform you into a ready-to-explore geologist! In "Earth Explorer: Geology Exploration," participants will embark on a journey to uncover the mysteries of rocks, minerals, and the dynamic forces shaping our planet. Program Highlights: 1. Rock and Mineral Discovery: Delve into the fascinating world of rocks and minerals through hands-on activities and exciting experiments. Participants will learn to identify different rocks, explore their unique properties, and understand the science behind these geological wonders. 2. Dynamic Earth Forces Unveiled: Discover the powerful forces that shape the Earth's surface. From tectonic plate movements to volcanic eruptions, participants will explore the dynamic geological processes that have shaped landscapes and continents. 3. Artistic Expressions with Rocks: Get creative with geology! Participants will explore how rocks can be transformed into unique works of art. From rock painting to creating geological sculptures, this program offers a fusion of science and artistic expression. 4. Geological Excursions: Explore nearby rock formations, observe geological phenomena, and gain hands-on experience in applying geological concepts in real-world settings. 5. Rockin' Celebration: The week will conclude with a Rockin' Celebration where participants will showcase their newfound geological knowledge and creative projects. Families are invited to join in the celebration and witness the geological wonders their young explorers have uncovered. You will receive an email a week prior to the start of the program with information regarding location, paperwork, drop off and pick up time, along with the culminating program presentation information. Cancellation Policy
Minimum Registration Requirement: If registration for a program offering is less than the minimum number (10), the program will not be offered at that time. Registration cancellations and requests for refunds must be made via phone call or email. PAST must cancellation requests no later than 30 days prior to the first day of the event/program. After the above deadline, no refunds of any type, including no-shows, are given. Any fees associated with a credit card payment will be assessed before submitting a refund. Requests may be e-mailed to purchasing@pastfoundation.org or mailed to 1003 Kinnear Road, Columbus, OH, and must include the following information: - Registrant's name and email address - Event/program name and date(s) Extraordinary Circumstance: Exception to the rules above — Refunds may be granted if a registrant is unable to attend the event/program due to a family death, or other extraordinary circumstance. In such a circumstance, please contact PAST by email with the specifics of the situation. A review shall be conducted by PAST management. Decision on whether approval was granted shall be emailed to the requestor. PAST reserves the right to modify this Cancellation/Refund Policy at its discretion.
