About this Program
Embark on a botanical adventure on The Lawn at CAS with "Grow Wild: STEM of Plants," a captivating summer experience that blends science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) with the enchanting world of plants. Participants will delve into the wonders of botany, cultivate a green thumb, and explore the intersection of nature and STEM in a hands-on and interactive environment. Program Highlights: 1. Botanical Explorations: Participants will be immersed in the fascinating world of plants through hands-on explorations and nature walks. They will study plant anatomy, observe various species, and discover the interconnected ecosystems that sustain plant life. 2. STEM in Botany: Uncover the STEM principles behind plant life. Participants will engage in interactive STEM experiments and activities that explore topics such as photosynthesis, genetics, and the role of technology in modern agriculture. 3. Innovative Plant Projects: Foster creativity by working on innovative plant-related projects. Participants will apply STEM principles to create solutions for real-world botanical challenges. 4. Environmental Stewardship: Learn the importance of environmental stewardship and sustainability in plant ecosystems. Participants will engage in discussions and activities that focus on the impact of human activities on plant life and ways to promote conservation. 5. Showcase: The experience will conclude with a showcase, where participants will proudly share their knowledge to friends, family, and fellow nature explorers. You will receive an email a week prior to the start of the program with information regarding location, paperwork, drop off and pick up time, along with the culminating program presentation information. Minimum Registration Requirement: If registration for a program offering is less than the minimum number (10), the program will not be offered at that time. Registration cancellations and requests for refunds must be made via phone call or email. PAST must cancellation requests no later than 30 days prior to the first day of the event/program. After the above deadline, no refunds of any type, including no-shows, are given. Any fees associated with a credit card payment will be assessed before submitting a refund. Requests may be e-mailed to email@example.com or mailed to 1003 Kinnear Road, Columbus, OH, and must include the following information: - Registrant's name and email address - Event/program name and date(s) Extraordinary Circumstance: Exception to the rules above — Refunds may be granted if a registrant is unable to attend the event/program due to a family death, or other extraordinary circumstance. In such a circumstance, please contact PAST by email with the specifics of the situation. A review shall be conducted by PAST management. Decision on whether approval was granted shall be emailed to the requestor. PAST reserves the right to modify this Cancellation/Refund Policy at its discretion.
