This summer experience invites young learners to embark on a journey of creativity, innovation, and hands-on exploration. Through the captivating realms of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D Printing, participants will unlock their imagination, design their own unique creations, and bring them to life in three-dimensional forms. Program Highlights: 1. Introduction to CAD: Participants will learn how to create digital models using user-friendly software to learn the basic of Computer-Aided Design. Exploring the tools and techniques that professionals use to visualize and design objects in the virtual world. 2. Design Challenges: From crafting custom keychains to building mini structures, participants will put their new CAD skills to the test. Unleashing their creativity while mastering the art of digital design. 3. 3D Printing Magic: Discovering the magic of 3D printing as digital creations transform into tangible objects. Participants will learn about different 3D printing technologies, materials, and the process that turns their designs into reality. 4. Hands-On Printing: Participants will have the opportunity to operate a 3D printer firsthand. Watching as their designs take shape layer by layer, and gain insights into the mechanics and intricacies of this technology. 5. Design Iteration: The iterative design process will be used throughout the experience. Participants will refine their creations based on real-world testing and feedback. Learning to adapt and modify their designs to achieve the best results. 6. Showcase and Celebration: The experience will conclude with a showcase where participants will proudly exhibit their 3D printed creations and share their design journey with family and friends.
