The High School Student Montpelier Archaeology Expedition program is designed to give high school students in grades 9th-12th experience doing archaeology in a professional environment side-by-side with our staff while exploring social justice and health and human wellness via an archeological expedition.

• excavating at a real archaeology site
• working in the archaeology laboratory
• experiencing specialized lectures & tours
• discussing college and career opportunities in healthcare, archaeology, and related fields
• creating a digital product for Montpelier
• In person class session at PAST Innovation Lab will be for training and preparing for the onsite programming at Montpelier.

Outline of two week schedule:

• June 17th-21st (1:30pm-3:30pm) - In person class session at PAST Innovation Lab
• June 23rd - Travel day to Montpelier Virginia
• June 24th - 28th - Programming on-site at Monpelier
• June 28th - Travel day back to Columbus
