About this Program
Participants will step into the spotlight with "Take One: Introduction to Video Production," a dynamic summer experience that empowers aspiring filmmakers to bring their creative visions to life. Participants will dive into the world of video production, and explore the art and techniques of crafting compelling visual stories. Program Highlights: 1. Camera Basics: Participants will learn the essentials of camera operation, framing, and composition. Participants will get hands-on experience gaining the skills needed to capture visually stunning footage. 2. Scriptwriting Essentials: Unleashing their creativity through scriptwriting, participants will discover the art of storytelling, character development, and dialogue, while crafting their own scripts for potential film projects. 3. Acting and Directing: Exploring the fundamentals of acting and directing, participants will bring your scripts to life. Participants will have the opportunity to work on both sides of the camera, honing their skills in performance and behind-the-scenes direction. 4. Editing Magic: Participants will delve into the world of video editing learning to cut, sequence, and enhance footage, transforming raw material into polished and engaging visual narratives. 5. Collaborative Filmmaking: Experiencing the power of collaborative filmmaking, participants will work in teams to produce short films. Participants will collaborate on every aspect of production, from conceptualization to the final edit, fostering teamwork and creativity. You will receive an email a week prior to the start of the program with information regarding location, paperwork, drop off and pick up time, along with the culminating program presentation information. Minimum Registration Requirement: If registration for a program offering is less than the minimum number (10), the program will not be offered at that time. Registration cancellations and requests for refunds must be made via phone call or email. PAST must cancellation requests no later than 30 days prior to the first day of the event/program. After the above deadline, no refunds of any type, including no-shows, are given. Any fees associated with a credit card payment will be assessed before submitting a refund. Requests may be e-mailed to email@example.com or mailed to 1003 Kinnear Road, Columbus, OH, and must include the following information: - Registrant's name and email address - Event/program name and date(s) Extraordinary Circumstance: Exception to the rules above — Refunds may be granted if a registrant is unable to attend the event/program due to a family death, or other extraordinary circumstance. In such a circumstance, please contact PAST by email with the specifics of the situation. A review shall be conducted by PAST management. Decision on whether approval was granted shall be emailed to the requestor. PAST reserves the right to modify this Cancellation/Refund Policy at its discretion.
