About This Event
The PAST Foundation and Tolles Career & Technical Center, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services and Sumitomo Electric Lightwave, are each hosting a free 2-day Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing Certificate Course the week of February 27th, 2023. These courses will be hosted and instructed by Sumitomo Electric Lightwave, which is a recognized leader in optical fiber technologies and solutions for data centers, enterprises, and communication networks.
The AWS Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing Certificate Course is a two-day training on fiber optic installation and repair. The course is intended for anyone who wants to enter the fiber optic industry and learn the fusion splicing skill. There will also be an opportunity to meet employers in the fiber business who are interested in recruiting motivated individuals for fusion splicing jobs. After your successful completion of this workshop, there is potential for immediate hire and employment!
