Are you interested in finding out what happens if zombies enter your neighborhood? What are the chances of survival? What happens if there is a vaccination? Can you save the neighborhood?Modeling your World gives you a chance to create a virtual computer world and run what-if experiments to see what might happen. What happens when fires spread through a forest? What is the best way to prevent forest fires from spreading? Using NetLogo agent-based software and board games, you will have the opportunity to design your own virtual computer world and run your own what-if simulations. At the conclusion of the program, you will be able to show what happens in your virtual world!
This one week program runs from 1pm-4pm on July 22nd-26th and is open to rising 5th-8th Graders, ages 10-14.
You will receive an email a week prior to the start of the program with information regarding location, paperwork, drop off and pick up time, along with the culminating program presentation information.
