PAST Partners with The Columbus Foundation to Broaden Its Reach

COLUMBUS, OH – The PAST Foundation headquartered in Columbus, Ohio partnered with The Columbus Foundation (TCF) to create a $1,000,000 program-related investment (PRI) aimed at helping PAST expand community impact over the next ten years. With a PRI strategy, TCF utilized a funding vehicle that signifies a high level of confidence in recipient organization’s structure, leadership and impact in the community.

“The Columbus Foundation’s investment in PAST will enable us to create even more programs that help prepare students for their futures. Our mission has remained laser-focused – linking learning to life - since our inception and this partnership will allow us to increase our programmatic impact locally, nationally, and internationally,” said Annalies Corbin – Founder, President and CEO. “We are extremely thankful to The Columbus Foundation for their support of our work on educational transformation.”

Columbus Foundation’s PRI strategy provides substantial benefits to recipient organizations by freeing up cash flow, thereby increasing an organization’s ability to broaden its programmatic reach. Additionally, the PRI affords the opportunity for organizations to engage in strategic planning and future-focused visioning rather than being constrained by immediate financial concerns.

“The program-related investment The Columbus Foundation has made in PAST signifies our confidence in and encouragement for the work of a strong and growing organization,” said Dan Sharpe, Vice President for Community Research and Grants Management at The Columbus Foundation. “In providing this capital, we recognize the exciting potential PAST has to bring their innovative, effective teaching methods to more students and teachers across our region.”

About The Columbus Foundation The Columbus Foundation serves more than 2,500 individuals, families, and businesses that have created unique funds and planned gifts to make a difference in the lives of others through the most effective philanthropy possible.
