About this Program

Unlock the fascinating world of computer programming with "Hello World! - Introduction to Computer Programming," a captivating summer experience designed to help participants engage in the art of coding. Join us for an immersive journey where participants will embark on their first steps into the dynamic realm of programming, laying the foundation for a future in technology. Program Highlights: 1. Programming Fundamentals: Dive into the basics of computer programming, exploring fundamental concepts that form the backbone of coding. Participants will grasp the core principles that serve as the building blocks for creating software. 2. Coding Languages: Explore a variety of coding languages to understand their unique applications and functionalities. From block-based programming to introductory text-based languages, participants will gain exposure to the diverse languages used in the world of coding. 3. Hands-On Coding Projects: Engage in hands-on coding projects that bring theoretical knowledge to life. From creating simple animations to designing interactive stories, participants will apply coding principles in a fun and creative environment. 4. Problem-Solving Skills: Develop critical problem-solving skills inherent in the world of programming. Participants will tackle coding challenges that encourage analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and creativity. 5. Team Coding Challenges: Foster teamwork and collaboration through group coding challenges. Participants will collaborate on coding projects, share insights, and collectively overcome coding obstacles, promoting a collaborative approach to problem-solving. 6. Project Showcase: Conclude the program by showcasing achievements, demonstrating newfound skills, and innovations to family and friends. You will receive an email a week prior to the start of the program with information regarding location, paperwork, drop off and pick up time, along with the culminating program presentation information. Cancellation Policy

Minimum Registration Requirement: If registration for a program offering is less than the minimum number (10), the program will not be offered at that time. Registration cancellations and requests for refunds must be made via phone call or email. PAST must cancellation requests no later than 30 days prior to the first day of the event/program. After the above deadline, no refunds of any type, including no-shows, are given. Any fees associated with a credit card payment will be assessed before submitting a refund. Requests may be e-mailed to purchasing@pastfoundation.org or mailed to 1003 Kinnear Road, Columbus, OH, and must include the following information: - Registrant's name and email address - Event/program name and date(s) Extraordinary Circumstance: Exception to the rules above — Refunds may be granted if a registrant is unable to attend the event/program due to a family death, or other extraordinary circumstance. In such a circumstance, please contact PAST by email with the specifics of the situation. A review shall be conducted by PAST management. Decision on whether approval was granted shall be emailed to the requestor. PAST reserves the right to modify this Cancellation/Refund Policy at its discretion.
