About this Program

Join us for "Junior WorldCraft Explorers: Global Adventures in Minecraft," where the pixels of Minecraft transform into a canvas of exploration and discovery. Engage as we take Minecraft global! Sail through virtual waters, learning about the 50 states, exploring other countries, unraveling the purpose of coordinates and more in an immersive educational adventure. Program Highlights: 1. Creative Construction: Put knowledge into action by creating representative structures and landmarks for each state within Minecraft. Participants will unleash their creativity as they build state-specific monuments, fostering a hands-on, immersive learning experience. 2. Geographical Challenges: Engage in geographical challenges designed to deepen understanding. Participants will decipher geographical features, learn about state capitals, and uncover unique facts about each state through interactive Minecraft challenges. 3. Team Building Adventures: Enhance communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills through collaborative group projects. Participants will engage in shared thought and build camaraderie as they navigate the challenges of Minecraft together. 4. STEM Skills for Life: Beyond the pixels, Minecraft Explorers cultivates lifelong STEM skills. Participants not only strengthen their gaming abilities but also acquire valuable skills in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork that extend far beyond the digital landscape. 5. Project Showcase: The experience will conclude with a showcase from participants sharing their achievements by demonstrating newfound skills and innovations to family and friends. PLEASE NOTE: Students will be using Minecraft Java & Bedrock Edition. Logins will be provided by PAST during programming along with all other components (computers, etc) to participate. You will receive an email a week prior to the start of the program with information regarding location, paperwork, drop off and pick up time, along with the culminating program presentation information.
