About This Event
During this one-week morning course participants will cover the basics of robotics and sensors at Mezzacello 21st Century Farm. Topics covered will include:
• Intro to scratch and the basics of coding.
• Build a robot from scratch and deploy it on a task.
• Reverse engineer a device and document its function and features.
• Design challenges to build props and tools used on an urban farm.
This week-long 1/2 day program will culminate with an in person demonstration of learning for family and friends, as well as a recording for later viewing.
Please note: Lunch will NOT be provided so please plan on packing lunch each day.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE:
Waterproof and sterilizable shoes will be a requirement for this camp. If these are not available, a pair can be provided for a nominal extra fee. Experience with robots and code is a plus, but NOT mandated.
You will receive an email a week prior to the start of the program with information regarding location, paperwork, drop off and pick up time, along with the culminating program presentation information.
