Mike Wiseman is the senior director of research and a senior chief engineer at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. (HRA). Wiseman has responsibility for HRA’s Materials Research and Strategic Research Operations divisions, and he oversees the company’s entire research portfolio as research chairman.
Prior to this role, Wiseman served as co-director of the Honda – Ohio State Partnership at The Ohio State University, with responsibility to support and advance joint activities with a focus on developing talent and innovations in the mobility industry to create new value for society.
Wiseman began his career as a materials engineer with HRA in 1987, and served on various Honda and Acura product development teams as the materials project leader.
Over his career, Wiseman has led a number of new technology research themes, and he holds several U.S. patents.
